Submersion Data Centers is a turnkey EPIC company: we engineer, procure, install, and commission the entire system. We co-locate multiple subsea data centers on a submersible barge with a single connection to an existing offshore O&G platform for power generation & data transmission.

Step 1: submersible barge loaded with data center modules is towed to the platform

Load & tow
A fixed O&G platform is fitted with power generators, a power umbilical, air compressor & hose, and a fiber optic line to shore. A submersible barge — fitted with ballast pumps, air vents, butterfly intake valves, and inclinometer sensors — is loaded with an array of subsea data centers and brought to the field via tugboat.
Step 2: mooring line and power umbilical connected between platform and barge

Connect & commission
The platform-to-barge mooring line connects at the platform boat landing to the barge stanchion. The power umbilical and air hose are connected via the platform crane. All components are tested and commissioned.
Step 3: barge ballasted down to the seabed with mooring buoy at the surface

Ballast down & operate
The submersible barge ballasts to the seabed; a tug-to-barge mooring buoy floats at the waterline. The system is ready to use. For maintenance, a tug returns, connects to the mooring buoy, and the barge ballasts back to the surface.
